Supported meeting apps
Works with browser and desktop calls. No bot, no plugin.
Observer does not join the call. It listens to system audio on your computer and reads the screen only when you ask.
Browser calls
Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox, Brave, Arc, and other Chromium browsers.
Includes Google Meet, Teams in the browser, Zoom in the browser, and most web meeting tools.
Desktop apps
- Zoom (on Mac, one extra Zoom setting; see Zoom setup)
- Microsoft Teams
- Slack huddles and calls
- Webex, Discord, Around, Riverside, and similar apps
Observer does not need
- Calendar access
- A bot in the meeting
- A plugin inside the meeting app
Audio
Use your computer’s normal speakers or headphones. Observer still hears system audio.
For screen actions, keep the relevant window visible.
