Using Observer

Notes, transcript, and conversation

Everything from a session is saved on one meeting record.

When you end a meeting, Observer stores notes, the transcript, and your chat together under Meetings.

Notes template

The headings come from the active Playbook, not from a global notes setting. Sales can ask for objections and next steps. A team meeting can ask for blockers and owners. Edit those headings (and a short description per section) in Playbooks before the call. That is how you change the document Observer writes, not by editing a blank page after.

Why templates matter

Without a template, every meeting produces a generic recap. With one, the notes match the job: evidence against a role, a close plan, or a study list. See examples on the Use cases page.

After the call

Notes are written when you end the meeting, not while you are still talking. You can edit them, then use Rewrite notes to regenerate, up to three times after the first draft. Citation chips jump to that line in the transcript.

Transcript

The full live transcript, turn by turn. Use it for exact wording.

Conversation

Every question you asked Observer and every reply it gave, including Quick Actions. Separate from the raw transcript.

Open a past meeting

1. Go to Meetings.

2. Select the meeting.

3. Switch between Notes, Transcript, and Conversation.
