Getting Started
Mac permissions
Microphone and Screen Recording are required on Mac.
Observer runs on your computer. These two permissions are required.
Microphone
Used to build the live transcript from system audio.
If denied: Reply, Recap, and other transcript actions have nothing to read.
Screen Recording & System Audio Recording
Used to capture your screen for Screen Help and other screen actions, and to hear the call.
If denied: screen actions fail, and the transcript may be incomplete.
Grant them
1. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
2. Allow Observer under Microphone.
3. Allow Observer under Screen & System Audio Recording.
4. Quit and reopen Observer.
If capture still fails after you allow both, restart the Mac once. Some macOS versions need that before screen capture works.
