Getting Started

How meetings work

You start and end the session. Observer does not join the call.

An Observer meeting is a timed session on your computer. It is not a calendar event, and Observer is not a participant in Zoom, Meet, or Teams.

Start

Join the call, then click Start meeting. The Meeting Window opens. Observer begins the live transcript and a chat for that session.

While it runs

  • The transcript updates as people speak.
  • Quick Actions and typed questions use the transcript, the screen, or a live search, depending on the action.
  • You can compact the window, snap it, switch Playbook, or change output language from the session menu.
  • A session can run for up to 3 hours.

End

End the meeting from the Meeting Window. Observer writes the notes, saves the transcript, and keeps the chat on that meeting record.

If Observer quits unexpectedly

Reopen it and check Meetings. You may still have transcript and chat from before it closed.
